On the left is a working guide to the tablature we use  to represent our favourite rhythms.

Djembe
Bass - centre of drum beat (flat hand)
Tone - rim beat ( tip of closed fingers)
Slap - rim beat (fingers slightly open)


DunDun
Closed - flat end of stick for muted tone
Open - side of stick for vibrant tone
Bell - keeps the timing for the rhythm
